Candle CareHow to care for your Éveil Rosée candle

01Placement

Always place your candle on a level, flat, and heat-resistant surface where it cannot slip, slide, or fall — whether lit or unlit. Never place candles near the edge of a surface where they could easily be knocked over.

02Protective Dish

Always place candles on a non-flammable, non-toxic, heat-resistant dish, tray, or liner to prevent melted wax from contacting your surfaces.

03Never Unattended

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles within sight at all times while lit.

04Flammable Materials

Keep candles away from curtains, draped materials, and all flammable or easily flammable fabrics.

05No Aerosols

Do not use aerosols, sprays, or flammable vapors near any candle — lit or unlit.

06Children & Pets

Keep all candles away from children, pets, and objects that generate airflow (such as hair dryers, fans, heaters, or air conditioners), as well as from wind and rain.

07Fire Safety

It is recommended to have an up-to-date fire extinguisher and heat-protective gloves or high-temperature oven mitts on hand when handling any candles, whether lit or unlit.

08Burn Time

For container candles, we recommend burning no more than 1 to 2 hours at a time. For sculptural or non-container candles, we recommend burning for only a few minutes at a time to preserve their shape and design. Allow wax to cool and re-set between burns.

09Do Not Burn to Bottom

Do not burn any candle to the bottom of the vessel. Discontinue use when approximately 1/2 inch (13 mm) of wax remains to prevent overheating or vessel breakage.

10Trim the Wick

Trim the wick to 1/4 inch (6 mm) before each use to avoid excessive flame or smoke.

11First Burn

Allow candles to burn long enough on the first use to create a full melt pool to prevent tunneling.

12Storage

Store candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or humidity to preserve both wax and fragrance.
